2000 Republican National Convention
Thursday, August 3, 2000 - President with A Purpose: A strong leader who can unite our country and get things done. The focal point of the last night will be Governor George W. Bush's acceptance of his party's nomination for President of the United States. Voters will learn more about George W. Bush and his qualifications for the office from those who know him best, an introductory video and his own acceptance speech.
In his speech, Bush called for a new era responsible leadership pledged to bring people together from all walks of life to take advantage of the unique prosperity that exists in the United States... and what he views as missed opportunities by the current administration to reach the country's potential.
